Lebanese hash is the light one. Where Afghani and Pakistani styles are dark, oily and hand-worked, Lebanese-style hash is made from resin sifted off plants that were dried slowly before sieving. That extra drying is what produces the characteristic blonde-to-reddish colour and the dry, crumbly slab that snaps rather than bends.
Clear-headed and sociable. It is the one traditional hash people reach for during the day: a relaxed, talkative lift without the leaden body weight of an Afghani block. That makes it a sensible starting point if you have smoked plenty of flower but never hash.
